Archive, remove, and update
Safely retire a co-worker and choose how OtterDesk stays up to date.
Archive, remove, and update
When a co-worker is no longer part of your active team, archive it first. Archiving removes it from My Team but keeps its local configuration, logs, and records available for review.
Archive a co-worker
Open the co-worker and choose Archive. Use this when you may need to inspect or restore the historical record later.
Archived co-workers appear under Settings → Archived. From there, you can review available history or permanently remove a co-worker when you are sure it is no longer needed.
Permanently remove a co-worker
Permanent removal is destructive. Confirm that you no longer need the co-worker's local configuration, credentials, and run history before you choose the permanent delete action.
Updates
In Settings → Updates, you can choose whether OtterDesk checks for updates and whether it updates eligible co-worker runtime components. Automatic checks look for updates in the background; they do not install OtterDesk automatically.
Keep OtterDesk and the local runtime current before investigating a persistent issue.
